WorldStage—the ultimate resource for event engineering, technology and imagination—is the exclusive A/V, sound, and lighting provider for both Metropolitan Pavilion and Metropolitan West. Through this dynamic relationship between vendor and venues, clients are offered a built-in A/V and lighting infrastructure at both Metropolitan Pavilion and Metropolitan West that can be enhanced to meet any event’s needs—moving lights, video displays, LED walls, wireless audio equipment and more.
WorldStage’s commitment is unlimited flexibility and design options. “We don’t want any Metropolitan Pavilion or West client to feel they’re ‘stuck’ with an exclusive supplier,” says Josh Weisberg, Co-Founder and Consultant at WorldStage. “We’re dedicated to delivering the same sophisticated level of service at a very competitive price that customers of WorldStage have come to expect no matter where we are working.”
Representing nearly 50 years of NYC experience between vendor and venue combined, WorldStage and Metropolitan bring together an extensive sound, lighting, and A/V inventory with an adaptable and flexible destination location to address the needs of hundreds of special event clients each year.
GiGstreem (formerly Rainbow Broadband) provides high-speed WiFi Internet access using the latest 802.11n technology at both Metropolitan Pavilion and Metropolitan West. GiGstreem’s state-of-the-art and abundant access points can service hundreds of portable devices simultaneously with multi-megabit speeds. Using work-flow, their on-site engineer can carefully monitor your event’s traffic.
At the core of the network is a fiber distribution system with GigE switches providing services to each event room. The network supports dedicated line drops, local area networks, and streaming video with HDTV quality. They can provide separate networks for presenters based on the criteria for bandwidth and cloud access, separate WiFi access for journalists, and other event-specific needs. Multiple Tier-1 carriers provide Internet service over a local connection capable of speeds up to 1000/1000Mbps at Metropolitan Pavilion and 300/300Mbps at Metropolitan West.
